The Courage to
Follow Your Heart
by Tara Moorman
What in your life is calling
you?
When all the noise is silenced,
the meetings adjourned,
the lists laid aside,
and the wild iris blooms by itself in the dark forest.
What still pulls on your soul,
in the silence between your heartbeats
hides a summons.
Do you hear it?
Name it , if you must,
or leave it forever nameless,
but why pretend it is not there?

What
in your life is calling you, what pulls on your soul? Are you living your dream?
If not, why not? Barbara Brennan says, "Every creative act manifests first as
consciousness in the core, then as our intention in the haric level, then as our
life energies in the auric level that later well up into the physical universe.
When these energies flow directly from the core star through the haric level of
our life task, through the auric level of our personality, and through our
physical bodies, we create health and joy in our lives. This is "light
emerging". I, like many people I know, have spent years blocking and silencing
this creative light only to find that it's really not possible to deny our
creative nature because to do so would be to deny nature itself. Blocking your
creative energy can mean health problems, emotional problems, family and
relationship problems.
Sometimes it takes a health crisis for the soul to get our attention. That's
what happened to me! I finally had to face the fact that for eighteen years I
had denied and silenced my creative and spiritual self.
I
had become a "human doing" instead of a "human being".
I had
to make big changes in my life which meant speaking honestly, from the heart,
with my family and employer. You see, for someone who had built a successful
sales and marketing career and was a classic workaholic, it was a difficult
choice. However, once I made the decision to follow my heart it was the easiest
thing I have ever done.
It
seems it is far more difficult to deny Who You Are than to accept it.
I meditated, enlisted help from my angels, used Reiki self treatments, Healing
Touch and asked for support from my family and friends. I am now living my dream
of being an artist and channel for healing through visual art expression. I
celebrate each day as spirit and the universe dreams a more expansive dream for
me than I even imagined.
An example of this is my Soul Essence Paintings. A friend once asked me to
meditate on the essence of her and her husband's souls and create a painting for
their bedroom. I was intrigued and did as she asked. I prepared to paint,
meditated, and received a very distinct "mood" for this painting. As I
approached the paper, still open to the meditation, the painting seemed to paint
itself. I channeled an ancient healing temple on a purple amethyst mountain.
After painting, I started writing and much to my surprise a story came to
accompany the painting. The Soul Essence Painting and the story were well
received and before long I started receiving many commissions.
Through intention and openness I am a vehicle that provides visual
representation of one's soul; to create healing that can be accessed through the
optic nerve that brings clarity and balance to their lives. This is my soul's
purpose that has been calling me.
What
calls to you? Spirit, the Universe, your Angels and Guides, are waiting for you
to say the words, "I have courage, I am following my heart and I know I have
your support." Be still, be open, meditate, listen and act. Then buckle your
seat belt and enjoy the ride!
