ForgivenessNet - UK |
|
Before we dive into ForgivenessNet, we wish to express our thanks to our
friend, Dr. Guy Pettitt, who introduced us to this wonderful material. So
wonderful, in fact, that we felt it was important to dedicate a few pages
within our site to introduce it and the author! ForgivenessNet-UK is the work of Andrew Knock, and his site is a veritable goldmine of Forgiveness knowledge, insight and learning. We include here an article from Mr. Knock's work, and numerous links to his site, as it is so rich and extensive that we consider your time there very well spent. Following is a short biography, his "The Dimensions of Forgiveness" article reproduced here on our site, and links to several areas of his website where you may continue your journey. Our sincere thanks to Mr. Knock for generously offering his work for the benefit of all. Iloveulove.com The meaning and power of forgiveness - human and divine Andrew Knock was born in London, and has lived in Scotland for over 30 years. He came to Christianity in his mid-twenties, following an interest in Buddhism, and has subsequently found immense value in most religious paths and traditions. His fundamental life questions always seem to centre on the dimension of spirituality. He spent 20 years working as a church minister, writer, conference speaker, worship leader and consultant with various church groups in Scotland, England and Northern Ireland. He has also taught in Zambia, South Africa, the Republic of Ireland, and the USA, and visited many other countries. As a writer, Andrew is most concerned with seeing further into personal and organisational transformation and how to inspire, motivate and empower people for this. He has degrees in philosophy and theology, and a doctorate in both subjects. Writings include:
and the large study courses:
He has also enjoyed composing music, being a jazz drummer in London clubs and being a bucket-man (garbage man) in Dunblane. His first marriage ended in divorce, but created two sons, Alistair and Michael. At the start of the new millennium he began a new personal life with his wife Ruth and her son Thomas. His other passions include most Western music (especially Igor Stravinsky to John Adams, Miles Davis to Pat Metheny), Western philosophy, gardening, writing, movies, real-time strategy games, imaginative lovemaking, Birman cats, science fiction (esp. Douglas Adams and Iain (M) Banks) ... Andrew's favourite saying is, "He wasn't petty." He tries to live up to it. Continue to: The Dimensions of Forgiveness |
